Our wonderful unexpected 5 or so day stay in Seattle, WA

Casi se me olvidaba nuestro divertida e inesperada visita en Seattle, WA. Bueno como ya saben nuestro vuelo a Okinawa se atraso por que estaba pasando un huracán por Japón y los vuelos habían sido cancelados hasta que pasara el huracán. Por lo mientras nos dimos unas vacaciones en Seattle y fuimos al Space Needle, Pacific Science Center, Children's Museum, Pike Place Market, and Seattle Aquarium. Aqui estan unas de nuestras fotos de nuestras inesperadas vacaciones.

Almost forgot to share our wonderful and unexpected 5 or so day stay in Seattle, WA. As most of you know our flight to Okinawa was temporarily delayed because a typhoon was passing thru Japan. While stuck in Seattle, we decided to tour the Space Needle, Pacific Science Center, Children's Museum, and Seattle Aquarium. Here are a few of the pictures of our unexpected vacation.

Dinosaur Park in Ogden UT

Durante nuestras ultimas semanas que estuvimos en Ogden, pudimos disfrutar de la compania de nuestro amigo, Jeremyn, y su familia.  Dustin conoció a Jeremyn Kitchen durante su mision en Venezuela y desde entonces se mantienen en comunicación. Dustin hizo su familia al igual que Jeremyn y desde entonces son parte de nuestra familia. Bueno tuvimos la oportunidad de volver a verlos  y también a sus hermosos hijos! Disfrutamos de un día en el parque de los Dinosaurios. Lo único que puedo decir es que mi hijo, al igual que mi esposo, se divirtieron muchisimo paseando por todo el parque y viendo a los dinosaurios.  Mi hijo, especialmente, se divirtió un montón viendo a los dinosaurios porque últimamente lo único que a el le ENCANTA son tres cosas: Lightning Mcqueen, dinosaurios, y dragones.

During the last few weeks that we were in Ogden, we were able to enjoy time with our friend, Jeremyn, and his family. Jeremyn and Dustin met while in their mission in Venezuela and since then they have kept in touch. Dustin got married and a few month so did Jeremyn and since then they have been part of our family. Anyways we were able to visit with them and his beautiful kids! We enjoyed a day at the Dinosaur Park. All I can say is that my son, as well as my hubby, both had fun at the park.  My son, specially, had so much fun looking at the dinosaurs. Lately Caleb's world revolves around three things: Lightning Mcqeen, dinosaurs, and dragons.

Mother's Day Celebration in Logan

Fui muy afortunada de poder celebrar el Dia de las Madres con mi mama este ano. Este dia disfrute de una deliciosa cena con musica latina en el ambiente.  Mas que nada pude disfrutar la compania de mis seres queridos y ver a mi hijo feliz con sus primos, tios y tias, y sus abuelos!

I was fortunate to be able to celebrate Mother's Day with my mom this year. I was able to enjoy a delicious dinner with latin music. Most of all I was able to enjoy my family's company and watch my son enjoy his time with his cousins, aunts and uncles, and most of my parents!

Lagoon

Aaaah! Como ya muchos de ustedes saben, antes de ir a Lagoon teníamos planeado sacarnos fotos familiares.  Claro, las fotos no se realizaron en ese día por que en el camino una de las llantas del carro se nos salio en la carretera! Nadie salió lesionado, un poco nerviosos, pero después de todo decidimos ir a Lagoon de todos modos.  No solamente perdimos una de las llantas, pero al llegar a Lagoon las pilas de mi camara se agotaron. Lo ultimo que esperaba!  Por esta razón no pude tomar muchas fotos pero estas son algunas de las que me gustaron mas:

Aaaah! As many of you know, before our adventure in Lagoon we had plan family pictures. Of course family pictures didn't happen that day because on our way down our car lost a tire in the middle of the highway! Everyone was fine, just a little shaken, but we just decided to head to Lagoon instead.  Not only did we loose a tire but my camera's battery ran out. AWESOME!  So unfortunately I was not able to take a lot of pictures, but I have a few a can share:

Camping in Gobblin Valley

Nos divertimos muchisimo en nuestro campamento en el Sur de Utah - Goblin Valley.  Caleb tuvo un montón de espacio para correr, y encontro un montón de palos y piedras para jugar - el estuvo en el momento de su vida! ( por lo mientras que su mama se moria de preocupación)  Me encanto mucho ver a mi hijo hacer un puente para sus juguetes y verlo saltar en las rocas en Gobblin Valley.  Tambien me encanto poder volver a tener a mi esposo después de tenerlo lejos de nosotros por mas de 5 meses.

We had so much fun during our camping trip in southern Utah - Gobblin Valley. Caleb had so much space to run, and tons of sticks and rocks to play with - he was just enjoying life! (while his mom was just a worry wart -  as my hubby always calls me :) It was fun to see my boy trying to built a bridge for his toys and to jump on the rocks in Gobbling Valley.  It was also great to have my husband back with us after being apart for 5 to 6 months apart.

Okinawa, Japan

Durante el fin de semana, junto con una familia que conocimos en Seattle, decidimos ir a un tur en American Village ( American Village es un lugar en Okinawas donde hay un montón de diferente tiendas, pero es famoso por la rueda.) Mientras estuvimos ahi, pudimos ver un poco de la cultura - como algunos de las bailes típicos, diferentes tiendas de ropa, y tambien pudimos tener almuerzo ahi! No tome fotos de la comida que ordenamos, se me olvido claro, pero lo unico que puedo decir es que estaba delicioso. Me encanto el tipo de limonada que nos sirvieron.  Muy diferente del tipo de limonada que se toma en los Estados Unidos.  Mi hijo hasta hizo un amiguito desde Seattle así que decidimos salir con su familia a este lugar.

Over the weekend we, with friends that we met during our stay in Seattle, decided to go on a tour to American Village (American Village it's just a place with lots and lots of different stores, but it's famous for the huge ferris wheel.)  While we were there we got a little glimpse of the Japanese culture - some dances, stores, and we even had lunch at one of the restaurants there!  I didn't take pictures of the food we ordered, which I regret of course, but it was really a great meal.  I loved, loved their lemonade drink! So different from the lemonade back home.  And my son even made a cute, cute friend while in Seattle so we decided to hang out with them!

Es muy caliente y húmedo aqui y es por esta razón es que hay muchas maquinas de bebidas que se encuentran en todos los lugares que uno va.

Since it's REALLY hot and humid here in Oki, you will see lots of vending machines filled with all types of drinks all over the island.

Esta fue la cena de Dustin el Sábado por la noche. Cuando el estuvo en entrenamiento en San Diego le dijeron que tenia que ir a conocer un lugar llamado "Coco." Esta comida no se ve tan buena para comer pero sabe buenísima! Algo que aprendí aquí es que cuando ellos dicen picante, quieren decir PICANTE!  Algunos restaurantes ofrecen diferentes niveles de picante para los gringos.

So this was Dustin's dinner Saturday night.  When Dustin was in San Diego, he was told that there was a local restaurant called "Coco" and that it was great food. It may not seem that appetizing, but it tastes great!  One thing I learned though, is that here when they mean spicy here it means HOT SPICY! AWESOME! Although they do offer levels of how spicy you may want it.

Este es el panorama que tendremos desde nuestra futura casa en Okinawa, Japon! WOW! Lo malo es que no podremos ir a la playa en ese lado - cerrado permanentemente :( Nos moveremos a nuestro nuevo apartamento durante esta semana, yay!!!!

Just a glimpse of the view we get from our future home in Okinawa, Japan!  NICE!!!! Too bad we can't go on that side of the ocean -  it's permanently close :(  We will be moving to our new apartment sometime this week, Yay!!!!
