One day I noticed that our bananas were getting pretty black so we decided to make banana bread.  Caleb liked helping mom make the dough specially at the end.  He loved liking those left overs on the spatula.  And what's really weird is that Caleb DOES NOT like bananas, but he sure loved eating banana bread! Weird, huh?

Ringling Bro. and Barnum & Bailey (Zing Zang Zoom) Circus

So I posted photos when we went to the circus and forgot to write a few words :)  So anyway, on the third of July our family went to the circus with friends from Kingsville.  Needless to that we had so much fun - specially Caleb.  He loved seeing the tigers and elephants . . . .  and pretty much anything that went kaboom!!!  First time in a circus with our 2-yr old was not bad at all :D  s

We had sooooo much fun watching Sesame Street tonight.  Caleb was entertained with the show especially when Elmo and Cookie Monster came out! I personally enjoyed just watching him on his Daddy's lap and just enjoy the show.  Caleb was able to shake hands with Grover, Elmo, and Cookie Monster.  At the end when he left the auditorium he kept saying, "Bye Elmo, bye Cookie Monster."  He just loved it! More pictures have been posted in facebook.

He puesto mas fotos en facebook.

This is our son sneaking to get some carrots before dinner!  Apparently he likes carrots :D - that's my boy!

Caleb likes to draw circles in his chalk board.  He has learn his shapes like circle, triangle, square, and rectangle.  He tries to draw them but so far circles are the easiest for him.  Those other wiggly stuff you see . . . . . only he knows what they are!

. . . . solo Caleb sabe que son!
So I had fun trying to cut Dustin's hair the other day.  We thought that it wouldn't be hard to do a Marine hair cut and here are the results!!
He liked it so I guess that is all that matters.  Caleb also got a hair cut, but he was not happy :(

So the local news made a big deal of Hurricane Alex.  We had sand bags in the garage, front door, and back door; tied down our grill, and took precautions with our garden, but all it happen was rain and wind.

We had fun taking pictures anyway.  It was some what exciting to go through this experience.  It made us realize how much 72-hour kits are necessary and most importantly food storage.  All we were not ready with was a generator.  We were able to get one after going to a few stores and being told that all were gone.  Thankfully the electricity did not go out and everything else is same as always. Too bad the base pool is not open today 'cause it would have been nice to go to the pool with this heat!

A few months ago we were able to go to an air show in Kingsville, TX.  These are the Blue Angels, the same ones that are actually stationed in pensacola, FL.  It was pretty cool to see some of the formations they did.  These pilots are some of the best of the best in the Marine Corps and Navy.
One afternoon we were all eating m&ms in the living room and we saw this.  Caleb kept picking only certain colors from my hand and I guess he decided he wanted to arrange them by color along with his cars and the rug.  At the time he was learning his colors and now is really good with his colors:)

We've also visited the Aquarium here in Corpus.  Caleb had so much fun!  He loves fish!!  There were some pretty big fish that he was really fascinated with.  He was able to touch some sting rays, star fish, and other that I have no idea what they are called, but it was exciting to see his face light up every time he saw a fish.
Some were scary and creepy too!
Caleb loved watching the dolphin show!
So far we have visited the USS Lexington.  Huge, HUGE ship ( I guess I haven't been in a ship this big).  Though I would not recommend going with a 2-yr-old.  People told us it would take us anywhere from 3 to 4 hrs to go through the whole tours they do- it only took us 2 to 3 hrs.  All my son wanted to do is run or touch every button or display while I ran behind him so he wouldn't destroy something valuable:)

We have  arrived in Corpus Christi, TX!!  We are excited to be here!  As many of you may know Dustin has selected C130 to fly and his training is here in TX.  We're just happy and excited to be here and start in a new place (though we do miss Milton, FL).  Our new ward has been very kind to us.  Many members in our ward that it feels like we're in UT!
On our way TX we had to make a quick detour to the Houston, TX Temple.  It was a great experience to be there after many hours of driving.  We were able to take pictures, walk on the grounds, take advantage of having a distribution center, and just enjoy a few moments of peace and quite.  Now that we're in Corpus, our closest temple is the San Antonio Temple which is only a 2 hour drive.  Lets just say that we are very excited to have a temple closer!

Dustin had to report to Corpus on the 18th of Dec and we didn't get our house 'til the 28th of Dec.  Yes, our christmas was at a hotel or the BOQ (Bachelor Officer Quaters) - not bad though.  We were just excited to be together!  Now that we have been in the house for about a week and done with unpacking, it's good to be settle.  The funniest thing happen to us though when the movers came to unload our stuff.  As far as we know (for now) the only thing that we are missing is a dinning table or the base of it.  For some reasong the top part of the table was able to make it to the moving truck but the base has disappear. Who know where it went!  Our son has his high chair to eat and we use the floor or the couch to eat.  Good excuse to buy a new dinning table:)

Well, one new year's resolution I have is to update this blog at least one a month so there will be more pictures to come!
