Finally January! What can I say. . . . . . Dustin has been called as a Ward Mission Leader and I have been called as the 2nd counselor in the Young Women. My everyday life is Caleb, and temporally the dogs. I'm currently looking for a job while Dustin keeps going to Whitting Field every morning. He is now taking a class, AMO (Aviation Maintenance Officer), before he starts API. We, Caleb and I, are taking advantage of the warm weather that has come back. We take our daily walks to get out of the house. Amazingly time flys by when a kid reigns on the house. I just can't ask for anything better at the moment!

Also in December we had a loss in the family. Necha's brother, Glenn Stapley, passed away, We were able to attend his funeral and also got to visit Scott and Sarah. we spent about two weeks in Utah and we were able to have Christmas with both sides of our families. On Christmas eve my side of the family (Damis'), prepared a little show about Christ birth. Some were dressed as sheperds, and others were sheeps, among Mary and Joseph (played by Noheli and Sam). I was able to see the new addition to our family. My cousin Nico and Zinthia had a baby girl in November, Ari Isabel. My abuela, mama Elvira, was also able to join us for the holidays. It was great to see grandma! Caleb was excited to get his Christmas presents! This was his first year, well technically his second, but this year is the one that counts since he is a little older and he can play with some of them. Anyway he got a John deere tracktor from Grandparents Mann and still loves riding it. He still needs to learn that he needs to push with his feet for it to move, but he smiles everytime mom and dad push him on it.

In December it was Caleb's birthday on the 12th. We invited a few of our friends and went to dinner to Ruby Tuesdays. We order a small cake just for Caleb so he could smash it. Needless to say he liked it so much that he decided to take a bite and grab it with his hands. For his presents he received his own cell phone, his own car keys (by the way these are toys not real ones!), a nice set of pants and a nice Sunday shirt w/a vest (from Grandparents Mann), and a lawnmower that signs, pops balls, and makes lawnmower noises (from the Hopkins). Caleb just had fun smashing the cake and squishing it in his hands.

Here are some videos of us playing with Caleb. Dustin has introduced Golf to Caleb and he likes it, as long as we are paying attention or Caleb will find a way to get our attention. Every now and then Caleb likes to walk on the couch, but after he fell down the couch he has been more careful and we try not to let him walk or run on it. I just really like how Caleb keeps growing and continues to be a happy boy!
One of Dustin's good friends asked us to Doggiesitt (is this how it's spelled?) for the week while he and his wife went on a cruise. So Jade (the black retriever) and Kota (the huskie) are staying with us. The first day, I think, was a little tough for Caleb and Kota. As you can see they are a little bigger then Caleb. Jade is actually gentle with him, but Kota wants to play with Caleb, but doesn't realize his a little stronger than Caleb. After that first day both dogs are great now; I feel sorry for the dogs because when they lay down Caleb wants to play with them and they just let him crawl around them.

Ok, so I got behind on blogging, sorry! So I will do a recap of the things that we've done since Nov. 2008. Let's see . . . . . Nov we had Dustin's graduation from TBS (The Basic School), which by the way, I couldn't put a picture of this on the blog because the ones that were taken were a little too dark, sorry:( Necha and Blain came to Virginia and we did a little touring of DC before Dustin's graduation. We left VA the following day and headed south to FLORIDA!!! Believe me I was really excited once we cross the state line in FL! Before we arrived in FL, we took a little detour in Georgia and went to Stone Mountain with Dustin's parents (by the way THANK YOU for helping us move to FL). We got there a little late, that's why the pictures are a little dark, but it was a good detour. You can probably see on the background three men and their horses (at the moment I can't think of the names of the men). Anyway they are carved into the mountain and is just incredible on how well the details are on this carvings.

Once in FL we found a house to live and moved all of our stuff in (with the help of Dustin's parents). Let's just say I am very happy to be back and live close to the ocean once again!!
