Riyuna Farm Tour

Caleb had fun watching baby cows ran around the farm!
-------------------------------------
Caleb se divirtio ver vaquitas handar for este rancho!
Even cows have a great view of the ocean :)
-------------------------------
Caleb was a little hesitant about milking a cow, but at the end he thought it was awesome getting milk out of a cow!
----------------------------------
Ah! Even I got a chance to milk a cow!
----------------------------------
Ah!

Halloween in Okinawa, Japan 2011

Caleb had so much fun on Halloween weekend! Because his mom is still getting in her head that it takes a lot longer to order things online, Caleb was lucky to have two costumes for Halloween. For his school he was a race car driver for Lightning McQueen. He looked so cute and had so much fun at Kuwae with his friends! And for the rest of the weekend, he was a DINOSAUR! He was so excited when his dinosaur costume arrived that all he wanted to wear was his costume for the rest of the day!

After all the festivals and trick-or-treating, all of us were so exhausted that when we arrived home we all went directly to bed! Caleb had so much candy; I think he has plenty of it for the rest of the year! Dustin and I had so much fun taking our son trick-or-treating and just watching him enjoy this day.

Aquarium

We decided it would be fun to go to the second largest aquarium for Columbus Day, since Dustin had a few days off for the weekend. It was fun to watch my two boys enjoy touching some sea stars and "cucumber" sea things.  Caleb seems to enjoy having his Daddy around!

Caleb enjoyed watching all the fish swim around and seeing all their different colors.

I just though these were pretty fish swimming around. Caleb kept telling me, " Look mom, those are pink fish, look! They're beautiful!" I think he learn this word somewhat recently because he likes to say it quite a bit.  Anything that looks cute he calls out, "It's beautiful." It's so funny to hear him! He also liked looking at the "Nemo and Dory."
It was awesome to see some of these creatures.  Huge whales harks, turtles, lobsters, crabs, and stingrays. Caleb remembered the whale sharks from the Diego show.

Caleb was a little hesitant about getting this close to this octopus.  I thought it was very cool how Okinawans let their imagination go.
It was a rainy day but during the time we were there it didn't rain until we were almost done with our tour.  It was a great day to be out and about. Rain but not cold! As we were going to the dolphin show we went down this path and it had a beautiful view!
Just a sneak pick of the dolphin show we saw.

Everywhere you go you will see the Shi Sha dogs.  I liked the display so I thought of one last picture with my son.

Naha - Tug of War

It was an awesome experience to go the the Tug-of-War in down town Naha. Just a little history on what this tug-of-war is about: " The tug-of-war in Asia stretches back almost two thousand years.  During the year 71 AD in China, it is said that a tugging contest was held to decide which religion - Buddhism or Taoism -  was superior."(Okinawa Living, October 2011) This event is in the Guinness Book of World Records for being the biggest tug-of-war. It was calculated that more than 250,000 people were there that day - and we were in the middle of it! On the first picture you can see how thick and huge this rope is! After  30 minutes of pulling  people can start cutting pieces of this rope to take home and it's suppose to bring good luck.  And as you can see from the last picture Dustin cut a few pieces and Caleb was so excited to get a piece of it! Personally it was an awesome experience to be there, since it's only done once a year.

My little boy is all grown up! This is his first day attending preschool.  I think I was more nervous than he was.  He was just excited to go and meet his new friends!

Saying goodbye to his mommy! I had to be strong to hold tears back -  I didn't think I was going to feel like that.
Him just enjoying himself at the playground in preschool with his new classmates!

Caleb Writing In The Windows

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I saw these markers at one of the exchanges here in Oki and decided to buy them since Caleb and I have been working on his letters.  I love them and Caleb does too! They are like the dry markers you use for the white boards, only these ones are for windows.  Anyway Caleb likes writing on the window a lot more than on paper. We've been practicing on writing his name and this day we decided to add a few more words. On this picture his writing is on the left side of the picture, mine is the one on the right - I've learn to write with my left hand since Caleb is left-handed--- not the prettiest letters either :)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Whenever Caleb doesn't want to write he just scribbles and draws- now and then you will see a letter or two, but I think on this one he tried to write "Sassy"- which by the way, I have no idea on how it's spell. I think you can kind of see an "s" and an "a" in the middle of the picture. Yay for Sassy! She's made it into Caleb's favorites' people list! - although you're just a cat :)
